By all accounts this is a decent gun but it doesn't seem to get much press (one of those "below the radar" guns, I guess). Handled one in a local store and it seemed well fit and finished. Anyone with any positive/negative experiences? I've seem them for as low as $380 online, with a $100 rebate on the full size model.

I picked one (full size) up given the rebate. A great deal. This Beretta is now my nightstand gun.

Ergos are great and shoots fine, no real cons. Trigger is typical, comparable to most strikers. The front night sight is bright and sort of larger than most. Picks up well in the dark. You have the option of mounting a red dot from the factory (not my thing though I have a optic on a G19).

Top pros are the ergos and price. It fulfills the role of any full size striker for my needs, I don't see any other model as being so much better to justify dismissing the APXa1.

I have the compact that I picked up for about $350 after rebate. It is a nice gun overall, ergo’s and build quality are quite good. It feels good in the hand to me and points well. I like the sights enough to not want to change them.

Mine had been 100% reliable and moderately accurate, though the trigger is not as good as some of my other striker guns. It’s not a bad trigger though—it’s rather decent actually.

It’s a little wider in the slide than I’d like though it’s not too thick to carry I suppose with the right holster. Overall I do like the gun, I got it mostly because I wanted a Beretta striker gun just to see how it compared to my Glock/Smith/CZ counterparts. For the money it’s a good deal.

I had the first generation APX and it was decent. My son bought an A1 fullsize and it shoots great!! Comfortable grip and for a striker fire I think it has a better than most(striker fire world) trigger.
