220's have dried up. Those 500 Legion 220 SAO carry's went quick.

Think a DA/SA carry 220 will ever be done?

You were not alone! It flew under the radar apparently. The 226 Legion got so much attention that the 220 variations were like red-headed step children then.

A P320 subcompact with a micro RDS would be nice.

For the most part, calling a production model a "legion," and adding a weak, non-durable finish, and a cheap aluminum "coin" (nee skeeball token) tends to boost the price, but little else. Sig tried elitism to appeal with the idea that a "legion" makes the owner special...but that only applies to the original purchaser, all else be damned, and one pays through the nose to have that little chevron and weak grey finish.

I have several legions and the only legion I've seen that's really any extra value is the P320. The rest is all cosmetic with minor "upgrades."

Perhaps if they make another pistol into a "legion," it will seem more elite and valuable, too, and if someone has the disposable income, why not?

Buy a legion used, and one is part of the unwashed masses, can't have a coin, can't buy the special gear. One is a nobody. So says Sig.

I'd rather see affordable improvements, like Sig did with the x-grip to the P320 line, than overpriced gimmicks to appeal to those with big wallets.

I'm waiting on the 10mm SAo to be more readily available as well, not willing to pay 1500$ that i've been seeing them for.

That will give me 3 of the 10mm P220's in varying flavors and probably round out that collection.

SIG has likely done very well for themselves with this marketing ploy of theirs; point of fact that we generally have little trouble selling most of these 'Legion'-series guns (except the rather silly P238 and P938 variants; their departure times before Rona was measured in months). By osmosis I guess us dealers too have benefitted alongside, presuming that we can even managed to GET any of them these days. Some of the asking and bid prices on GB are rather shocking considering what they normally would retail for.

But I agree with sns3guppy; to date the only 'Legion' that offers a serious and significant upgrade over a standard version within the same model line is the P320 X5 Legion. Everything else has been primarily eye candy, and of the type that just happens to not 'wear' particularly good.

Well I just picked up a Legion I never knew existed.
220 thru their LEO program and Proven Outfitters.
DA/SA, all the Legion features but in a total nitron black finish. As the finish is about the only complaint about the series I hear, they should make it an option.

The carry would be easier to pack in AZ but can't find any.

I'm still waiting on the Mosquito Legion and P290 Legion.

The P226 SAO Legion was my first. The SAO trigger, various frame enhancements, and X-ray sights are worth it. Mine is like 3 lbs with very short reset. Cures you of any thought of needing a 9mm 1911. Second was the P220 SAO. Again the trigger and other enhancements are worth it. Third was the P229 SAO - similar to the P226 SAO but a little heavier trigger.

I just shot the P220 SAO today side by side with a mil spec 1911 and a reworked 1911 I built up with SA mil spec slide/frame/barrel, and mostly Ed Brown internals. It has a 3.5 lb trigger with zero creep. Guess what? The Legion wins. It is more comfortable to shoot, recoils in a more manageable way, and it is more accurate. The X-ray front sight really jumps out too, so that might be part of it.

No I don't like the gray finish that went from PVD to Cerakote and I don't care for the marketing either. But they ARE good guns. That said, I do not see the value in a DA/SA legion because the trigger is pretty much the same as a standard model.

I grabbed a P238 Legion when they were discontinued for like $500. With the magwell and extended mag it provides a full grip and fits my hand nicely, and it has an ambi-safety unlike all other P238's. Mine is reliable, accurate, and very mild to shoot. Much milder than a G42.

I would be fine if they were all Nitron finished, without the name and chevron, and just like "Super Duper Elite" or whatever Sig wants to call them. Had the LE Nitron Legions been available earlier (or known to me) I would have opted for them instead.
