It seems odd to me that both of the pre production P99s on Gunbroker right now are proofed KK and do not have the early "spilt triggers".

The pre-production pistols would not have been proofed while they were in the Walther factory when they were being used to finalize the P99 for serial production. It was only after these pistols were released for sale by Walther that they would have been proofed.
