I got a G19 MOS and actually want to get a red dot for it. Im looking at buying the Vortex Venom tomorrow. However, i have no clue how to mount it. I need to look at what plates mine came with. The vortex website also said to call about mounting screws? I wanted to get it ready for a range trip on saturday, but its looking like i may have to order some stuff. Anyone have any experience with this optic remember the plates or screws? I appreciate the help and advice!

I had to get different mounting screws, as the ones that came with it were too long. I found the correct length at my local hardware store.

I too mounted Venom (Superb choice) to two G34 Gen4 MOS. As I recall, one needs to check that the screws that come with the gun (not those with the sight) are of the right length. Do that off the gun by setting sight on plate and screwing Glock screws through sight's holes into plate. Look for how much of the screws extend below the plate. I too recall having to get slightly longer screws. In any case, I think that the screws supplied with the sight were not used.
Plate is same as for "Doctor."

I just mounted one to my G40 MOS. Usecplate #5 the screws that come with it work to mount the optic to the plate

I bought the gun used a while back, off the local gun classifieds, and didn't have a thought about the plates at the time. turns out the only one the seller included was #2 plate and some other thin one with no holes. sooooo after I bought the Venom today, i went to mount it, and discovered that I have no plates. I ordered some online. so much for going to the range with it tomorrow, though.

You will need M3 x 6mm screws to mount the sight to the proper plate.
