You will customize your Glock.
Buy a Glock? Many times.

Leave it stock? I. Just... C-can't . Can not do it... . ... . . ..

In terms of grip mods, I just waited for the Gen 5.

I do like looking at some of the highly-modded Glocks that cost double what a stock one does. I just have no desire to own one.

I put a Bar-sto barrel in a G34, and I was going to buy a trigger for my G19 but haven't gotten to it. Other than that, haven't had the urge to customize.

I wish I liked slides with lots of holes in them, they are stylish. But my NOPE alarm won't let me do that.

I like my gen 5 G19 just the way it came from the factory, needs nothing changed in my opinion.

The only thing I did to my G23 was put a smooth faced G17 trigger on it, and a butt plug in the grip purely for cosmetic reasons. The gen 5 G19 came with the smooth faced trigger, and I no longer feel the need for the plug.

Edited to add, Have also installed night sights. To me, this is mandatory on any weapon I carry for self defense.

I maintain this is technically still a highly modified Glock and not "not a Glock".

I could go the Roland Special route.. I may have to put that on the list.

I enjoy looking at the slide machining on Glocks as some of the mods are actually beneficial-front slide serrations and mos possibilities. I have a 35 I had some slide work done to and am glad to see the option. It puts money back into what we all love talking about here and creates more jobs. I have added a few things to my Glocks-triggers- I prefer the flat triggers compared to the factory beveled type and especially the ridged triggers( I hate those),better sights- the factory sights should be steel from the factory in my opinion especially on a $500.00+ gun, mag wells - they actually give me a better grip on the gun not for reloading, to name a few things. Some of the frame texturing jobs I see are really nice and offer a better purchase on the gun, especially on the gen 3 frames,in my opinion.

The only thing missing on this one is 20-inch rims.

My question is whether shooting it a lot would do anything to the appearance of the customization over time.

All of my Glocks have had trigger and sight upgrades. Mostly Overwatch Precision triggers but a couple of Apex units. Love the flat-face trigger.

My G33 is the most custom. It has an NP3-plated Overwatch trigger and connector plus a Suarez lightened, NP3-plated striker and an NP3-plated striker safety. I also put on Trijicon HD sights.

I'm also on my third Polymer 80 build.

Glocks are the modern-day Legos for grown men Razz

The only customization I will ever do on my gen 5s (beyond night sights) is to mill a G19 for a RMR, and even then I’m trying to wait until Glock makes a MOS gen 5 G19

I used to mod the hell out of my gen 3s and 4s

The gen 5 put an end to all of that

Replace the crappy plastic sights and go

My Glocks get a grooved trigger replacement with a smooth trigger if necessary, a Glock - connector, a Vickers slide release, Ameriglo sights (Hackathorn or I-Dot), a USMC slide cover plate and a 50 cent trigger job.

Not lipstick, just powder on the nose.

Just another day in paradise.

Is this an episode of "pimp my glock?"

I agree that metal sights are a must and the trigger needs at least a minus connector on the Gen3 (don't have a Gen4) and the flat triggers are really nice.

What do the holes in the slide add? A compensator? On a pistol? Just not seeing it.

Glad you like and more power to you!

Mag well and sights on all of mine. Got a threaded barrel for my Glock 21, but that's it. Stock internals on all of them. May try a flat trigger, as they seem very popular.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

The best part I like about the ZEV slide in question:

  • It comes precut for the Trijicon RMR.
  • Allows for co-witness sights.
  • They were on sale at 50% off at the time.

I bought two of them and sold the other one. This slide was $40 out of pocket (including shipping).

Agreed. I love building my own....

I refuse to let anyone else stipple or do any of the frame mods. Once I got the hang of it paying for it seems needless. I enjoy doing the work. For me it’s meticulous and rewarding.
