P-220Did Sig ever make a Commander size 1911 in .38 Super?
Like the title says. Did Sig ever produce a Commander size 1911 chambered for the .38 Super?
If they did and you have one, how is it?
Thank you.

Il CattivoThey did, and there are some on ChodeChoker even as we speak. I may be misremembering, but I could swear they did a run in .38 Super on the 1991 model a few years ago - not just the 5" 1991, but a Commander-length version as well.
Never owned one.

00464bI had one back in the 70's. Used to use it for bowling pin shoots.

arfmelI think the OP is specifically asking about Sig 1911 Commander .38 Supers, and suspect the responses are both referring to Colt’s offering that model, since Sig didn’t make 1911s in the 1970s, or offer a “1991 Model”, AFAIK.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one scratching my head over those responses.

P-220Yes, I was inquiring about a Commander length 1911, made by Sig, chambered for .38 Super.
