So considering a 365 Macro or Fuse as a carry gun. Options on the macro are the standard, Comp and TacOps. Concerned about the comp on a carry gun. I have on on my XTEN Comp, honestly not a big deal except for raining down dust from the waters at the indoor range. Like the TacOps with the extra mags but it seems the extended slide release isn't compatible with all holsters. Then there's the Fuse with the longer barrel. Not really a concerned since it will most likely be carried IWB, I carry a lightweight 1911 Commander so this feels similar. So what say the all knowing oracle of knowledge that is SigForum especially those with experience in comparing these variations of the 365 platform? Any one of them will serve you well. I have a P365 Macro comp and put a XL grip module on it and it makes for a great ccw pistol. It's kind of like the Spectre comp look. That's the beauty of the design of the gun and you can swap out the grip modules/slides to your needs. I don't see the comp as being a negative and have never had a problem with it. I find the comp makes a good bit of difference with rapid shooting/follow up shots, etc., compared to the standard slide. I would just get a good holster that fits your needs.

I'm interested in the fuse as well, I have the tac ops and legion and the legion shoots with less recoil I'm wondering if the fuse would be even less with the longer barrel.

I went all in on the 365 when it came out. But I could not shoot it well. When I handled the Fuse, my experience changed 100%. The improved grip, mag funnel, better sights and longer barrel made a real difference in shooting a 365 based gun. Light, flat and great capacity. I am keeping the Fuse. Only drawback is mine has a spongy trigger. Bonus: I had some Christmas gift cards that brought the price to just south of $500. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

I've shot the Macro with the comp, and was actually pretty impressed. There was a noticeable, although not enormous, reduction in recoil, and I didn't notice and blast or flash to the face when shooting it. It's still a little snappy, and like the regular P365, the grip is still too narrow for my hand, and the trigger reach too short. I've also shot a Macro without the comp, and it wasn't bad either. I'd probably opt for the one without, just for the slightly longer barrel, but I wouldn't be scared to carry the comped model, either. I'd like to try the Fuse. I held one and the small grip circumference/short trigger reach was still a problem. But in my experience, a longer recoil system usually tames the snap a bit, and I like the form factor for a carry gun. The problem is, by the time I sleeve or otherwise increase the grip circumference to the point where the gun is comfortable in my hand, it's not really that much different than the P320s that I already have. With that in mind, the cost of the gun (plus investing in a whole new line of holsters, mags, grip modules, etc.) just doesn't make sense for me. Your situation is obviously different, and YMMV.

I shot the fuse and liked that it seemed to shoot like a comped gun as far as recoil. I would say the only thing to consider is if your preferred carry round needs a longer barrel which might sway me to the fuse over the macro. I dont think you can go wrong, its just a preference.

Note that the macro comp is a comped slide, not a comped barrel. The barrel sits short of the full length of slide, same barrel as a 365 or 365x. Regular macro has a full length slide and barrel same size as a 365XL. I have an XL and I bought a macro module and made a macro. Bigger capacity is nice but I can get that in the G19 with a +2. I also picked up a 365 a while back cheap and stuck it on the X/XL module. The slightly bigger grip is more convenient feel to me than a standard 365 with extend magazine for whatever reason. The home made macro is better to me than a G19, slightly more svelte in every measurement except grip length and to me easier to shoot and carry. I only give up .3 inches in barrel length (velocity). I inside waist appendix carry and the 365, X and XL?macro all carry better for me than a G19

I held a Fuse and did not like the longer slide. I turned my OG 365 into a 365 slide with Macro grip size with a new grip module. ![]() Then I decided I wanted a longer slide but not as long as a fuse so I bought a 365XL and parted it out. ![]() Now I hate the suppressor height sights so I'm going to take them off and sell them and replace them with shorter Ameriglos. I have the X-Macro, my kid has the Macro comp. We both went macro for the rail, I didn't want to change lights for the proprietary Sig rail. I didn't notice much difference in the comp vs x-macro, she said she did and shoots better with the comp. Overall, we both enjoy having a concealable pistol with light, co-witnessed RDS, and 17 round capacity! I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

Strange, I’ve got a standard 365 that I usually carry with the 12 round mag and the mag sleeve which I find comfortable. Looked at a 365 Spectre Comp last night and didn’t like it, felt like the front edge of the magazine was right at the middle of my pinky. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

Yes, TyrantCNC, using the larger backstrap. Wilson Combat also mags a snubbie macro grip, but I heard that the rail section is thicker and wouldn't fit original 365/X/XL holsters. The TyrantCNC fits the original holsters just fine. I cut a little slit in the bottom of it to fit the OEM Macro Magwell. Installed the 365XL slide on it. Will put the original 365slide on an XL grip from WC next. ![]() Not minority enough!
