I like the idea of a thumb safety on the X-Series, so the M17/M18 is intriguing, especially the "Bravo" versions (don't need the FDE). I like the idea of being able to mount a red dot on the pistol in the future, especially with backup iron sights on it, so I like the design of the P320 PRO that's just starting to make an appearance...rear sight separate from the mounting plate, and mount accepts DPP and Romeo. I also like the balance of the Carry size frame, and with a red dot the issue of sight radius is moot. As I like to make things as complicated as possible, my ideal version of the P320 platform might end up being a X-Carry frame with safety, and a PRO series Carry length slide. In theory this would work, yes? I don't think they make a X-Carry or regular X frame with a cutout for the safety, though. I'd have to either grab two pistols and Frankenstein them together, or buy parts piecemeal on the used market, it seems. Am I missing something? ________________ tempus edax rerum

Buy a P320 Carry with a safety. Purchase the X frame, and cut out the notch for the safety. the outline is already on the frame and it is very easy to do. Put the Sig factory flat trigger in it. You can use it as is for the time being. In the very near future, this year I have been told, Sig will be selling the Pro series slides only. No date as of yet, but it is confirmed. Buy that slide, and you have your pistol TXPO Coldborecustom.com
