At one time Sig made the P365 SAS ported, which was discontinued and now they make the P365 Macro compensated. Is there a noticeable difference between the compensated models and the ported in actual use?

My assumption is the ported version would be more effective. The "comp" on the comped version is not truly a compensator. If I was interested in porting or compensating a 365, I would look at either Parker Mountain Machine's compensator or Monsoon Tactical's porting. I'm partial to the Lucky Sevens porting from Monsoon, myself, but I have two three guns with PMM comps, also. I have shot the 365 X Macro Comp and found it underwhelming compared to my PMM comped 43X.

Can you expand on this? I’ve been considering doing a PMM comp on a G43x, but then I saw where palmetto state armory has a macro-esque “comped” slide for their dagger micro/G43. MC-1 slide The complete slide is cheaper than just the barrel/comp from PMM, but if it doesn’t do much, then it’s not worth it.

There was very limited "comp" effect from the X Macro Comp. I think the issue is that the barrel ends and the "comp" part of the slide is more of an expansion chamber and there is room for gas to expand in all directions, including down, where a true compensator (or barrel porting) diverts more gas straight up. It's possible I'm wrong about that, but that's how I'm interpreting it. I have not shot a non-comp X Macro (although I have shot various 365 family guns). I HAVE shot the 43X quite a bit both in standard form and now with the PMM comp (about 600 rounds). The difference in feel abs reduction in muzzle rise is noticable. My best clean Bill Drill (6 rounds at 7 yards to a USPSA A zone) the other day with the 43X was 2.13, shot from appendix and with an EPS Carry. While I would have liked to break into the sub 2 range, I think that performance is respectable for a small gun. One of the things that I really like about PMM is that they publish their data (and they a HAVE data). All of that said, if I could go back and do it again, I would probably buy a 48 and have Monsoon do their Lucky Sevens porting to it. I have a couple Lucky Sevens guns and prefer the feel of that porting to a comp. It's also a little cheaper.
