GeoJellyDoes SIG Refinish Slides in FDE?
Finances, and a small brain

, caused me to part with my unfired M18 a few months back. In the meantime, I found a pretty reasonable 9mm Compact upper – and a place on GB has M18 CA-compliant FCU/lowers available with layaway. Plan is to make a reasonably priced M18 look-alike. I actually like the idea of a mag safety since it will allow me to semi-safely use it as a hideaway with the mag stashed separately. Does anyone know if SIG will refinish a blued slide in FDE? Or, is there some other place that folks have used that does a good job coating blued slides? Thanks!

hrcjonI never seen that SIG offers that. But the go to for many around sigforum has been CCR. I would check with them.

Fire AwayGive SIG a call. They do re-finish slides in Coyote PVD like on the M17 and M18.

Agreed. CCR is the best.
https://www.ccrrefinishing.com/However, based on your mention of financial concerns and layaway, it's worth pointing out that it's generally going to be less expensive to buy a factory FDE slide than it is to buy a standard Black slide and then pay another $100+ to send it off to Sig or CCR for refinishing.
For example, Sig sells their factory FDE P320 slides for the same price as their Black slides:

jer830I’ll second giving Sig a look and just buying the slide from them. I picked up a 3.9 in slide in Coyote, cut for an optic with X-ray sights for 225.00 last December during one of their holiday sales.
