Can anyone tell me if the components from these 2 magazines are cross compatible? I have a 232 and many 232 mags, and thought that both guns would take both mags, but I want some parts and not sure if there are differences.
thanks,
fuzzy

There are differences in baseplates, followers, and mag bodies but all are functionally compatible from what I've found.

First gen were all metal with slots instead of witness holes.
Second gen was all metal with witness holes.
Third gen was metal base and tube with plastic followers.
Fourth gen was metal tubes with plastic bases and followers.

Not Always! I have some Stainless (?) P230/P232 mags that are too large for my early P230 Blued, but fit fine in my early P232.
