Do they share common wear items like the recoil spring and magazines? I'm eyeing the A1 but worry about long term parts availability.

Watching a review of the m9-a2 by 1776 or bust, it does appear there is backwards compatibility potential. I have my legs stippling the m9-a1 and plan to pick up next week.
