My first gen M&P CORE 9L does it with a full mag inserted smartly. Every time. None of my other pistols do.

I like it. I am actually averse to the 2.0 because they "fixed it".

If it auto forwards every time and never fails to pick up a round, it is a feature. I have heard of Glock slide stops being rounded slightly to encourage the auto forward.

My Plastic M&P is reliable, a friend's will occasionally fail to pick up a round, throwing away the time gained on the rest of the reloads in the match.

I await the pistol that drops its empty magazine automatically and autoforwards on the reload by design.
