Has anyone tried this set up?

What mount did you use, Weaver, Picatinny or something lower, like an Outer Impact?

I have the Vortex and a Picatinny mount (Ruger) on order. Now I am thinking the height of the sight will be too much, perhaps should get it lower to the barrel.

Not really looking to co-witness with the Vortex and irons. Strictly range use.

Perhaps I should have went with the Vortex Venom or Viper.
