Lord VaalicWhere to find some .38 S&W ammo
We found an old HR American revolver in .38 S&W in my grandparents items. It is in decent condition, some minor surface rust. Its probably from the '40s maybe? I know its not worth much.
My dad wants to shoot it but I can't find any ammo. Any leads on this ammo? Just looking for one or two boxes

92fstechI believe he's looking for .38 S&W, not .38 Spcl. Two different critters.

Old Vark WSOBrownells website shows they have Magtech 50 round boxes in stock.

I know that and the source I gave him has what he wants and it's not 38 Spl.

92fstechWasn't referencing your post...there was another between yours and mine that has since been deleted that had a link to Federal .38 special. The Fin is indeed a great place...my parents live in Ashland so I always make it a point to go there when I visit them!

GenorogersNo offense 92fs. Nice folks in Ashland and Fin Feathers Fur. Used to be a small shop as you know but they have branched out and a legit sportsman destination.

casRemington and Fiocchi "still load it". Meaning before the crazy times anyway. They've probably both had production suspended for more important sellers. Collecting dust on the shelf of a small mom and pop gunshop is probably your best bet.

Stickmaker https://mattsbullets.com/ sometimes recreates two of the British 38/200 loads. Unfortunately, right now they only seem to be selling the bullets for handloading.

Do you reload? Easy round to reload for. I have Starline brass for it. Such a light load of powder your brass will honestly live forever.
