Competent When Sober |
I recently picked one of these up from a client. It isn't a pistol I would have considered buying for myself since I only trust certain models of Taurus' revolver line. However let me say that I wish I could trust this pistol enough to carry it. I love the size, the grip fits me like a glove (thin and short but not too short), and it's a double stack holding 12 rounds of 9mm. I have tried to find a similarly sized double stack to no avail. They are usually thicker and with a shorter grip, like the mp9c or g26. Why oh why can't some solid manufacturer create a pistol like this!? I had one for a few years and it was 100% reliable, the only thing I didn't care for was the trigger. If someone is on a tight budget it's a great deal. I'm not certain but supposedly P226 mags will fit and function in them. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

Shoot the shit out of it. it's reliable or it isn't. Either way, you'll find out. If it is, does it matter who made it?

My buddy had a PT111. I've heard all of the bs, but every time he brought to tne range it functioned well and I could shoot it as well as any other pistol I shoot. Risk the consequences of honesty...

Swapped my last EDC for one about 18 months or so ago after about 7-800 trouble free rounds of abuse just to be sure. Trigger is a mile long but the reset is more than manageable. I get questioned by my buddies all the time about it but I'm 100% comfortable with it...

As much trash talk as they get,(some of it deserved), the PT111 is a nice pistol and comfortable to shoot.
