We have done several trades in the past and he was looking for a Glock 42 and something even smaller to throw into a pocket. I had an extra G42 and Ruger LCP 22 and he had the G39 that I have been in search of. He told me he also had ammo, so I was thinking a box of ammo. To my surprise, the Glock was unfired NIB and came with all the ammo you see in the pic.

He got the G42 and the LCP, I got the NIB 39 and all that expensive ammo. I reload for the 45 GAP, so the ammo will be stashed away. We both drove away happy.

You got the better end of that deal- congrats. The GAP is a nice little “almost acp” that makes up for it being in that small frame.

Gadzooks! Great deal for you. I was a GAP fan, too bad it fizzled. At one time I had 3 G39s and 2 each of the 37, 38, and XD in GAP.

The 39 was my favorite.

My FIL has, I think, a 38, whichever is G19ish in size.

Not a bad shooter, but expensive to feed, coming from a 357Sig shooter.

I didn't know what the G39 was. I see it looks like a G30.

Actually, it’s dimensionally far closer to the 26. Close enough to make the difference irrelevant.

Here’s a pretty cool site that lets you compare gun sizes in real time- you can overlay in one of the images to see actual comparisons.

Both parties left happy — the best kind of deal.

I was issued a G37 that they let me buy when I retired. I shoot that gun very well. Always wanted a G39 to go along with it.
Congrats!

You did very well...that ammo is probably worth almost as much as the gun these days! I've always shied away from the GAP just because of the difficulties in keeping it fed...in fact I gave all my GAP range brass that I'd collected to a buddy a few years back, because I figured I'd never own one and he'd get more use out of it than me. I do love my G26, though, and a .45 in that same form factor definitely has some appeal.

Nice!

While the G39 is too small for me, just the ammo would be worth trading for.

If I had a dollar for every .45 Gap I've sold in the past twenty years I'd have two bucks. You sir are the third person I have ever know of who sought it out.
