Had a 365 since the bugs got worked out. Maybe 2 years? No issues at all. Has become my AZ hot weather, appendix carry edc. Use the 10rd mag for really concealed. Prefer the 12rd extended for shooting and most edc.
Picked up a 365X. Not sure if I'll red dot it but like the option. I shoot both well. Flat trigger is really not a huge plus. Present holsters fit both, have floor plates to change the 12's over.

Trying to decide whether to get rid of the 365 while prices are high and just keep the 365X.
Have a 320 so the 365lx isn't needed.

Anyone have/try both and get rid of one?

Do you ever pocket carry? If so, keep the 365. If you don't ever intend to carry in your pocket (or on your ankle) then sure, ditch the 365. Of course, if you are like me you need a spare of everything so...

How is that for arguing both sides? Big Grin

My bad, I missed that you weren’t asking for the XL.

IMO if you don’t think you need the XL, then the X doesn’t make a ton of sense either. But I guess it’s really all about what feels best to you. For me, having tried the 365, then the x, l and xl versions, I think the original two are the best two. Also, since you already own the 365, unless there is something wrong with it then it seems like kind of a waste to switch just for a slight difference.

To quote Jeff Foxworthy…

I have to have a long range coon Gun. A medium range coon gun and a short range coon gun.

I’d keep them both…unless you need the cash. P365 has been pretty available throughout the past year. If you don’t, just get an extra grip module and you basically have both.

I started with a P365 then when the SAS slide became available, got one of those for ankle carry and pocket carry. I played with a red dot and ended up getting a 365X slide as well so I can have that. Best of all worlds.

If the micro compact 365 suits your needs, sell the 365X and buy the Magguts spring kit to bring the magazine capacity to 12.

I don’t as yet understand the micro compact red dot allure, especially under a stressed self defense scenario. I totally get the concept for larger pistols, especially on range, however.

I’d keep the P365. In fact, I am.

I'm looking to buy a P365 or SAS as we speak for both ankle and pocket carry. I don't care about sight radius, red dots, trigger shape, tactical lights, etc.

I want something small, and in a SHTF situation, I want it to go Bang. To me, that sounds like the P365. Point and shoot.

I much prefer the 365x grip length, but want the better concealing grip of the 365, making my own 365x with 12 round mags.
For me, there is huge benefit in having all my mags fit in all my 365's.

I can make my 365 bigger by adding 12 or 15 round mags.

I can't make a 365X smaller if I wanted to.

I don't see the sense of eliminating pocket carry with the 365X, since the 365 can do anything the 365X can do, and more...

Then again I am a utilitarian.

Now if we were talking about the 365XL- that would be an entirely different conversation

Let's see you remove the factory cover plate and slap a RDS on your P365.

For about $40.00 you could add a P365 grip module.

I have a 365 that I Pocket carry. I bought a 365 XL added a holosun shot it a few times and found it to be useless. To me it is double stupid to have a red dot and rail on a small pistol. What in world am I going to put on that rail in my pocket?

One could do this, but you'd have the cost of extra 10 round mags

Yeah, another $35.00 could push someone over the edge.

I’d say if questioning, sell it.

I cut the slide on our P365 for the holosun and it adds very little overall to the pistol. I’m not a big guy so a simple magazine baseplate addition let’s me get all my fingers on the grip. I’m still adjusting but growing to like this specific setup (added a flat trigger - my preference).

I have both. If I belt carry or use the huge CCW pocket in either my leather jacket or vest I choose the XL with the Romeo0. If I pocket carry in a pants pocket I use the standard 365 with the flush 10 rd mag.

This works well for me and that is what is important after all. Go with whatever works for you.

Dont know what you did but you could keep the FCU and buy an X frame and have another 365x. Then you could switch back and forth whenever you needed one or the other. I have 2XL's, an X and a standard so I know what your going through.
