This is the right direction for polymer pistol frames, allowing end user customization. Remember Herrett revolver stocks, they would make you a custom set of stocks based upon a tracing of your hand you did on paper and mailed to them. Now how about a kiosk in your LGS that scans your hand and 3D prints a custom frame for your favorite 9MM. THAT would be something!
