MechResurgence of P224 9mm?
Was browsing GunBroker tonight after dinner and came across a couple of postings:
"Sig Sauer P224 SAS Gen. 2 9mm NIB" - This is a New in Box Sig Sauer P224 SAS Generation 2 9mm New in Box received direct from Sig Sauer
"Sig Sauer P224 SAS Gen. 2 Nickel 9mm NIB" - This is a New in Box Sig Sauer P224 SAS Generation 2 9mm New in Box received direct from Sig Sauer
If you search GB using the marked terms above you'll see them, and they're both from the same seller. Wonder if SIG is making limited runs of the P224s, and I've also never seen the SAS in Nickel plating either!

Doubtful.
One hint is the "Nickel" gun. It has TW25 gun grease included in the box.
For at least the last 2-3 years, SIG has been using Lucas Oil.
More than likely "new old stock".

MechAh okay, that makes sense too, guess it was just my really-very much-extremely wishful thinking
Thanks for the clarification!

soggy_spinoutVery doubtful. Most of the 60 or so P224s currently on GB are of a sub-group with at least one the two least desirable, strongest display case dust-collecting magnet features that any SIG can fear to have: 40S&W caliber and the DAK trigger. Worse yet, a bunch of those GB guns are saddled with
both.
Old stock that poor dealers around the country are still stuck with, perhaps years on. I was SO thankful when our last 40S&W P224 finally sold early last year, and we didn't even have to knock down the price to do it (well, at least knock it down
much).
