Yup, Sounds like I was able to find the answer for you. I happened upon a 1911 the other day and somehow it just showed up at my FFL two days later. Congrats on your new Sig. Big Grin

I was gifted their compact 1911 in .45 and I enjoy it. No issues with it at all. I'm waiting to find a deal on a 357sig 1911.

I've only got one Sig 1911 presently, and it's the C3. No complaints. No reliability issues, light, good trigger, good lockup and no play, fit and finish are good. I can't speak to the Super Target specifically, but my limited experience with Sig 1911's has been good.

I have the cheapie basic Sig 1911. Its been great. I may pick up a Nightmare if I get some discretionary cash.
Remember that some tight fitting 1911 holsters may not fit a Sig 1911. The slide has a different dimension.

I have a C3 myself and the Ultra 3" and both have been flawless. Fit and finish are very good on both.

I've got one of the early Sig 1911s, and other than a broken extractor after way too many rounds, I've had no problems with it and it is very accurate, according to some friends who own Les Baer guns.

As for the price for that model, if it is worth it to you, then it's a good deal.

I bought one when it first came out. It was cheaper then than they are now. It is definitely worth it, IMO.

Up to that point I would not have purchased a sig 1911. I think they are finally getting it right. Although they will probably never satisfy the hard core 1911 aficionados.

As I recall, however, Bruce Gray was impressed with it when it came out. He had high praise which is saying something I think.

I agree 100%. This is my first 1911 after years of waiting. I did not want a GI spec one just because it was cheep. I wanted one that runs like it should and is manufactured to modern tolerances.

Well I did some more range therapy. This was the 36 left in the first box of ammo. 30 feet again. One dropped shot you can just see it on the bottom of the picture ( guess i need more range time) I was getting wild as my hand got tired. But man do I love this gun.

I believe I am now a full blown 1911 fan. I see more of them in my future. Wish I had not waited so long to jump in.

Recently discovered a SIg 1911 Nightmare in 45acp at a gun store and it was just to pretty to pass so it came home with me. Never thought about buying a Sig 1911, but after shooting this one, I'm totally impressed and glad I passed other well known names for the Sig. An excellent well built quality gun and accurate.
