I’ve been wanting to buy a Staccato P, and for that matter a few other pistols from their lineup as well, and I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one. I had a little extra money from an insurance claim payout after my recent knee surgery (similar to Aflac, I got paid for outpatient surgery and for being out of work for a week) so I sprung for rush delivery. I used the LE discount, so I still paid less than retail and got extra magazines too, so I still feel like I got a great deal. Now I just have to suck it up and wait 30 days -ugh! So in the interim, how about sharing some pictures, stories, tips, and tricks from your Staccato pistols as well. I really am surprised I waited as long as I did, but the last few years have been a bit of a dumpster fire if I’m honest. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to getting into the 2011 game, as a lover of all things 1911. This will also likely be my first pistol that I’ll try a micro red dot sight on as well. So help me pass the time folks!

Congrats on your new P, I don’t have a Staccato yet but I’m going to buy the new C they just announced. I was leaning hard on the C2 but then the C came out and it checks all my boxes. I’m loving the EPS carry but I bet the EPS would be perfect on full size P.
Can’t wait to see pics and hear the range report.

congrats. hopefully you like the grip. I had four Staccatos over the years ('19 P, '20 C2, '22 C2 threaded, '23 XC). I just could not get used to the grip. All have been sold.
I'm hoping to try the new C coming out this summer with the slimmer grip and mags.
I had a C2. Probably going to buy a CS. Couldn’t make the grip work for me couldn’t do everything I wanted one handed. Tough to reach all the controls.

If you don’t mind my asking, where do your hands fall on the size spectrum?
I’m kind of weird in that even though I have hands slightly larger than average I like both slim grips AND fat grips. Perhaps the 2 best feeling grips in my hand are the 1911 and the Beretta 92FS. I don’t love it if the grip is too blocky feeling, but from the ones I’ve played with I don’t think the Staccato will be too blocky for me. I definitely plan on getting a feel for it with the standard iron sights for a while before trying a red dot. I think adding a red dot too soon would be too much and could end up negatively affecting my impressions of the platform. Either way, I’m still super excited to get my hands on this bad boy ASAP.

I have a P and the CS. I have XL hands and both Stacctos fit my hand and have been awesome. I have a new Jacob Grey TWC9 (local builder to me in SC) that is making 1911's AR's and this new 2011. The TWC9 has a few slight differences so I hope to be shaking it out comparing to my Stacctos soon.
Which Gen 2 grip are you getting CHEG? I did have a in-between DVC-P which was the previous version XC with a Gen 2 grip that I didn't like. It felt almost exactly like the P320 TXG frame with the grip of a bar of soap.
The newer ones with the granular grips feel much better.

I have medium hands and the C2 fits me fine. I liked the 2019 P more though my C2 is very nice and has been 100%. The build quality is outstanding and the trigger is excellent. Customer service if you ever need it is top notch. Would be nice to add the XC someday, though north of $4500 with an optic is a bit more than I want to spend right now.

I didn’t specify grips, so I guess I’m getting the newer standard grips. I think I probably would like a more granular feeling grip, so hopefully that’s the one that will arrive on my pistol. The only option that I picked on my pistol was the DLC coated barrel instead of the unfinished stainless. I figured I would want to keep this one fairly standard to see what I love, and what I might want to change for the future.

You could always have the grip stippled if you don’t like it.
I have medium sized hands and the C2,P etc was just slightly too big for me but I never felt one with a stipple job. I bet stippled would be perfect with my hands.

I've had a P now for several years and absolutely love it, best money I have spent on a pistol. It has the standard grip but I just grabbed a Heritage edition with the Tac 2 grip and love the fit and feel of it. I will probably send my P back to be fitted for one as well. Very smooth and flat shooting, love it for a comp session or basic range/practice. It has eaten any ammo I have put in it and run flawlessly.
Recently I grabbed two DPP's, one for a G19 and the other for my Heritage. Never used one before so going to try and learn a new method but if too much of a struggle I can easily remove and shoot irons.
I'm very happy with these two pistols and don't regret it at all and will actually be picking up a CS here shortly.

I only got the XC because they were doing the 25% off last year.
I assume LT Cheg ( if your address line is correct) is getting a LE exemption for the full capacity magazines. I hope you plan to beat feet out of NY when you retire, with every passing day NY is becoming a more hostile environment for decent people in general and conservative gun owners in particular. I left 9years ago, and things for the average gun owner there are far worse than they were even back then ( which I didn’t think was even possible at the time)
Enjoy the new pistol!

You’re 100% spot on. While I do believe that the “assault weapon” and magazine bans will eventually go away as a result if SCOTUS rulings (it looks like they’re going to have to do something soon with different circuits ruling differently and some outright defying Bruen, and the 4th circuit has teed up a good one for them), I still have no plans to retire to NY. My wife and I are very clear that while we may keep a house in NY and be residents for part of the year, we have absolutely no intention, zero, zilch, nada, of staying here forever. I’m completely firm on that and not willing to budge. While upstate NY is a beautiful state, the politics are just not something I’m willing to live with forever. My wife has an awesome job in NY State government that would be hard to duplicate elsewhere and I am vested in the NY pension system, in addition to my eventual federal pension as well. Coupled with the fact that we have aging parents in the area, that aren’t willing to move, we’re pretty much glued to NY State for likely 15 more years. Honestly, that’s a part of why I picked up a part time LEO job after leaving ATF, in addition to missing the work, so I could keep my collection in State. Still though, I can’t wait to get out of NY, and will make my escape as soon as feasible. Glad you’ve made it to free America my friend. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lt CHEG,

The stipple job and reductions feel amazing albeit very ugly.
The only thing about changing grips is Staccato will void your warranty if you go for an alloy or steel grip because the frame has to be modified for the metal grips to fit properly.

I love all the pics, please keep them coming. I went to the range today to break in my new Glock 22 Gen 5. While it’s always nice to shoot a new pistol for the first time, I’ve got to say that my heart was thinking about the upcoming Staccato lol.
