Model Number list -historical perspective.
Long post with production model history question eventually at the bottom if you want to skip ahead...The recent post about SIG addiction got me thinking. Originally when I escaped communist MA I went to my local LGS to look at things that weren't generally available in MA. My new local LGS had this beautiful Sig marketing production of 3x5 cards showing all the available models with marketing material about each (still have it). The LGS said here take it and see what you might like. So I fondled it and eventually decided I wanted a 239. Eventually carried and shot that for 50K rounds. But over the course of oogling that catalog I thought I would like one of each. At that point in time what was in the catelog 220,245,226,229,239,232,sigpro,m2,trailside,210. examples of those all eventually I got. But SIG expanded the product line and I bought some of them but not all. So I was wondering what a complete list might be (not all the silly GOTM or color, size etc. variations) and how many of them I might actually have.
So here's my list. What major models are missing? US factory guns.
220,245,226,229,239,232,sigpro,m2,trailside,210,225,227,1911,x-5,x-6,250,290,320,238,938,M17,228
known misses to the above 365. Not sure if M11 and P210A count as variants? but ok acknowledged.
