Thoughts on the Glock 48?

KevHThoughts on the Glock 48?
I've owned and carried Glocks as a cop since 2002.
I own a G42 which is a great gun for the caliber.
I owned a G43 when it first came out, but didn't care for it and quickly sent it down the road.
Soured on the slimframe 9mm from the G43 and after reading some negative reviews, I never picked up the 43X or 48 when they came out.
It's been a while and now I'm thinking of picking up a G48 MOS.
What says Sigforum folks on the Glock 48?

desertfoxxxEDC 43x MOS for the past year or so, also have 48 MOS. More recently acquired P365 and P365 xmacro. All have a place in my rotation. All have performed 100% reliable. Hard to go wrong. Nice to have so many good choices.

CPD SIGIt was between the 48 & the 43X
I went with the 43X MOS just because it was > < this much smaller. The G-43 for me is just too small. Like teeny-tiny small for my hands and just wasn't comfortable. The G-48 and the G-43X were great shooters, and I was able to hit consistently with the two of them.
I don't have a micro RDS yet, but it's my next purchase. I have a RDS for my G-34 and love the damn thing!
I'm a HUGE fan of the Shield Magazines!
15 + 1 in that size of a gun? OH HELL YES!
https://shieldarms.com/s15-3-pack-mag-catch-comboI tossed the tungsten guide rod in, and there's a noticeable difference.
$.50 trigger job and called it a day.
I think you'll enjoy the G-48!

P220 SmudgeI briefly owned one before a friend decided he had to have it, but it's on my list of stuff to buy again. Great concealed carry piece, just a great form factor. I've had a G42 since they first hit the market, and if you like yours, a G48 is a great companion piece.

NismoI had a 48 for a short period of time. Very comfortable in the hand, but some reason, that gun shot way left for me. It did the same to a friend of mine also. I don't now why, it's probably me, but I never had that happen to any other of my Glocks or handguns.

NavyGuyI had a 48 for awhile. It shot okay but I figured out there was no real advantage since the capacity is limited. Plus the one I had was a two tone which I've grown to dislike. No nonsense black is my preference these days.

sigarms229Had one for a few months. It worked 100% as Glocks do but even with a good aftermarket trigger I never warmed up to it. While slim it seemed big everywhere else.
Just wasn't my cup of tea.

AnubismpIf you go micro rds, the EPS carry comes with an adapter plate that let's you direct mount and use stock sights.

CQB60The 48 offers all the attributes of a G19 in a slimmer package. I thought it would be more precise at distance than my 43X but it was not. If you opt to one, be certain to get the MOS version. IMHO, the Glock 43X & 48 are the only Micro pistols that could pass for duty guns.

OaklaneI’ve had several g48s, the first being the day my gun store got them in, I really tried to like them but for me, it balanced oddly, felt front heavy. I also grabbed a 43x shortly after and it seemed to balance so much better. That said, I never tried any of the Shield mags in my 48 to see if the extra rounds would “balance “ it out for me. I know I may be the odd man out but that’s my thoughts on the 48

big_gun_manI had a 43X and a 48, the 43X was originally bought for my daughter but she liked the 48 better so I let her have the 48.
I loved the guns when they first came out but once I shot a Sig 365X it was all over, got rid of my 43X for the 365X and absolutely love it.
