Strip finish / harsh solution for ultrasonic? Login/Join

I've heard of nightmare 'lessons learned' of folks using the wrong product in their ultrasonic, removing the finish. But what if I wanted to intentionally strip off the finish? Is there an product a can use in my ultrasonic?

I want to strip a couple of older frames/slides (CZ 75 B & P228) down to the bare metal. Out of fear of potential regrets, I've only ever used a very mild soapy solution on my gun parts, so I'm not sure what I should use here.

Happiness is a warm gun.

Why would you want to remove the anodized finish?
