| Yep, Ohio passed it and my gun club started classes, i got in the second week, pal up'd with a fellow Ex M.P.we remarked about how close (3&7 yards)so we made a game out of shooting the target through the face and crotch, the instructor said look at some of the other targets, dear lord there were some that missed the target entirely. quote: Originally posted by dwp10mm: 20 some years ago, Ohio had just passed a CCW law. It required a ton of steps to get approved. I was one of the early applicants, so I had to take the safety classes and range time in order to meet the requirements. During the range time on day 2, one of the individuals in the class did not pass. The requirements at the time, if I recall correctly, was 50 rounds on target (this may be wrong. You had to bring 100 rounds, then you were scored on NRA standards at the time). Target range was no more than 7 yards. I don't think I had ever practiced at such a close target! This guy could not hit enough rounds on paper with a revolver to pass! I kid you not. How do you miss at that range!!!! We are not talking bullseye! Just get it on paper. I was speechless after that day.
