I found these at Homedepot yesterday. I have a few soft cases on order to help sort up the smaller case.

The bottom is a large wheeled case with enough space for 4 boxes of 9mm, two 45, a brick of 22lr, my 617 speed beex loader, my 18-3 speed beez tray, a sig sof sided case with 4 handguns, 6 pouches for mags.

The second bag has 3 sections, with many more slots and pockets. There are about 30 mags, 5 pistols, tool kit, two cleaning rods, jags, patches, oil, gloves, brushes and various allen keys.

Today is the inaugural gun range trip. I will let you all know how they do.

I have found, what works best for me is a canvas. Shopping bag with handles.

It is marked WMHT/NPR... at a yard sale (of course).

Love using my commie bag to carry my gats and ammo.

When i head to the indoor range i typically take:

4 22lr pistols, two revolvers and two semi autos. Usually 10 mags apiece for the semi auto.
I tend to go through about 200 rounds per revolver and 300 per semi auto. Specificqlly working on sight allingment and trigger pull.

2 of the same caliber carry guns 9,40,45, 38/357.
I will have 2 to 4 mags each plus 200 rounds,

2 target guns, with 200 rounds and 2 mags/ 10 moon clips.

I am there 2-4 hours. I want all the nessisary tools, oil, that can be had to keep me shooting. Enough mags to keep the 22lr reloading to a minimum. Targets, pasters, hand towels, glasses cleaner, ear pro, and any other little bits needed.

Today i have 5 22lr pistols, 3 carry pistols and 3 target pistols in the case. More than i typically take to the range.

I wanted to put the cases through their paces.

Previously i was using the sig pistol bag inside my swiss military backpack. I loaded the ammo on the bottom, targets up against the back. Sig bag/4 gun hard case then ear pro on top. Magazibes in ziplock plastic bags. Tools in front pocker. I then also had a 4 gun hard case. Sometimes a 2nd hard case, okay most times two hard cases. Everything screamed guns. These two are far more discreet. Everything has its own place, nothing knocking around, places for all the magazines, tools, targets, ear pro, and various bits.

I think these will suit nicely.

So just spent 3 hours at the range. The bags worked fantastically. Nice to have pouches for all the mags, tools, oil, gloves. Everything has its place.

5 22lr, 3 9mm 1 45 acp. With ammo. It all worked out very well.

I used to carry lots of stuff to the range. Stuff that NEVER got used. For example cleaning supplies. I have never cleaned my pistols at the range, so I stopped taking that stuff. IMO, most people are lugging lots of unnecessary crap with them to the range.

While i can see your point. I don't actualy have a full cleaning kit. I have a 22lr rod, and a 9mm rod for clearing stuck cases. The main portion of stuff i have are tools for grip screws, sights, or take down stuff.

I think I am a bit different than post range goers. As i said before my typical range session is 400-1k of 22lr, 100-150 rounds per center fire caliber, sometimes per centerfire handgun.

That puts me at the range 2-5 hours at a time, 1 to 2 times a week. I am fortunate enough to have the time to do that. Because of that volume of shooting i tend to have less time to clean and lube. as the 22lr's hit 700-1200 rounds through them I see alot more failures than most.

Finally, given the time i am there, I tend to see more people with issues who don't have the tools or the means to do a quick case ejection, lube, tighten a grip, or adjust sights. I give them a hand.

I use a retired camera bag. Plenty of storage among different pockets, heavy nylon constriction, and straps. Works for me.

My range it close by so I don't feel the need to bring everything and the kitchen sink.

Weapons, mags, ammo, targets, stapler, small spare parts box for AR15/G19, first aid kit, and lube.

I also usually bring 2 of whatever I'm primarily shooting - 2 ARs, 2 G19s. So if I did have a failure, I'd just shoot the other one and fix the issue at home.

Then again I shoot less per session - If it's pistol or rifle drills , 150-200rds, if it's both usually about 100rds each.

22LR is a full set of magazines, so 50-80rds if I bring one. Usually <1hr on the range, but sometimes a bit more in the fall / winter.

I used a plastic milk carton for a long time before changing over to a $5.00 plastic tote. It allows me to carry it in the back of the truck and not worry about rain.

I've been looking for a rolling bag. Ive found a Klein rolling tool bag that looks like what I am wanting, a nice big compartment and magazine slots, but the thing is almost 20 pounds empty!

https://www.amazon.com/Driver-...ywords=klein+rolling

I know that G.P.S makes an actual rolling range bag, but Im not a fan of bags with a ton of pockets and compartments, I just want maybe 1-3 compartments, no need for little zip pockets, velcro flaps, molle webbing, and all that stuff that I usually leave empty.

I’ve suggested it before, but the VooDoo Tactical Scorpion range bag I got two or three years ago has been great.

My first major bag was from Tactical Tailor when I lived in the Seattle area. Prior to that, I used a JanSport bag.

The tactical tailor bag worked really well for 2-3 pistols and a 200 rounds of centerfire and maybe 250 rounds of 22lr. It did not have enough room for large targets or all my necessities for my long range sessions. I often found my self-taking a small 4 pistol case and adding more ammo to the bag. The bag also had no internal or external support. So, unless packed securely things shifted a lot. I used this bag for the 10 years I lived in seattle.

When I moved to CT, I started shooting quite a bit more regularly. I started taking more toys and spending longer at the range. I was taking more ammo, targets, and guns. I wanted something a little bit stronger, with a frame, and impervious to the wet winters in ct. I picked up one of the surplus swiss rubberized back packs. It ended up serving me for the last 8 years.

Since my move to VA, i have been shooting less times a week (at a range) and staying longer during those times. So, the bag ended up taking 4-500 rounds of centerfire, and 500 rounds of 22lr. The 4 pistol case, targets, tools still fit in it. But, the mags other 4 pistols i kept taking ended up in a separate hard case.

The downside of this case is that it really only works for centerfire semi-autos of 5.0-inch barrels or less. For instance, i can put one Smith and Wesson victory in it. Closing the lid requires a lot of effort. Two is impossible. It does not fit any but snub-nosed revolvers, the grips are to high.

So in the last year I have been looking for a new set up. That lead me to the two bags above. I will be able to fit 10 pistols in individual cases, with ammo, magazines, moon clips, tools ext. All with less hands being used, less weight in each bag.

This last month I received two new items for my safe. I had been using a variety of wire racks to hold my pistols. Well, some of my large revolvers, pistols, did not fit in the racks. I also had what I considered a fair bit of unused space between guns. I had so many guns I ended up having to have some hang the door. (i still do) I ordered the weapon rack system from benchmaster (Altus brands company)
https://benchmasterusa.com/weaponrac

With a bit of work, i got it into the safe and all the pistols into it. It cleaned up the safe. Now no pistols in racks, clinking together, rubbing on the bottom of the top shelf, or the top of the safe. It works well, it fits my x5 around, my USP tac with jet funnel and weapon light, my mk23, my freedom arms 83 454c, my dan wesson 715, 627 pc n frame, and 625 n frame. My smith and Wesson 41 7" and hamerelli Xeese stick out of it, but the barrels rest on the rear of the foam piece. They are held nicely in place. The top rack has two empty slots, the bottom has one slot for my HK usp 9, and one slot reserved for my BHP 40/357 sig. I should have ordered the 24 slot rack not the 18.

I still have to store some of my 22lr on the door. I would not have to if I had ordered the 24 gun set up.

I Have had them a month now. They seem to be holding up. So far they are doing great. They are much better for my purpose than the 12 wire rack set up that i could fit into each shelf. I hope they hold up. I don't see any reason why they would not. Putting the firearms in and taking them out does not seem to put any wear and tear on the racks.
