In last month's steel challenge, my M&P 5" ported PC was shooting about 4-6 inches low at 15 yards. I don't have time to go the range before this month's match. If I want to raise my POI, which direction do I turn the set screw on the rear sight? CCW or CW? Thanks, Mike

Usually counterclockwise raises the rear sight. Rom 13:4 If you do evil, be afraid. For he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

I did, for the last 3 stages and I was ok!

That was a lot of adjustment, about 60 thou, 1/16" or so.

Are you sure the sights can be that far off? 5 inches low at 45 feet is an angle of 0.5 degree. My low shots are clearly recoil anticipation and thrusting forward and down. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

I would tend to agree with you. I shot the same pistol a few months ago and I was hitting just fine. This time, the RO was calling my misses. Only on the 8” circle plates. The silhouette hits seemed ok. I kept hearing “low”, so I compensated by aiming high for the last 3 stages and did fine. If I can’t get to the range to verify, maybe they will let me take a couple of “test” shots on stage 1 this month.
