The take down lever is very difficult to turn down. The slide doesn't seem to want to come off also. I saw a youtube video that said to pull the trigger,

No need to pull the trigger. If the slide is locked back and takedown lever is difficult to rotate, I release the slide, rack it a few times and pulling the trigger, Then lock it back again and try to rotate. They loosen up after a while, but even with my Macro and 2k+ rounds, I still need to do this even now and then. Joe Back in Tx.

Here’s A very simple fix……..buy a cheap pair of Walmart knit gloves with the blue rubber grip part ( I think I paid $3.50 per pair) and then move the lever ….YOU WILL BE AMAZED at how simple it makes the job. I have arthritis in my hands and take down used to be a bitch. One day I used my gloves which I really need to put on my compression stockings and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to turn the lever.

Be sure that the manual trigger safety is disengaged if you have one. I also discovered that you sometimes need to pull the slide catch down in order to move the slide forward when the P365 is new.

Both my P320 and 365's takedown levers were very difficult to rotate at first. The latter gun's was so tight I had to

Is the rubber on the fingers?

Yes only on the portion that makes contact with whatever you’re trying to grab They are called: Bellingham blue 3000 gray knit with blue rubber. The rubber is very grippy that’s why I use them on my compression stockings and they work great on the 365: in fact I bought a pair to keep in my gun cleaning box

One thing I forgot to mention: if your gun has a safety make sure it is in the OFF position otherwise the lever is just going to keep moving down and back up. It should be in the ready to fire position

A tip of the hat to Stroonz!! I ordered a pair of the gloves he recommended from Amazon and they arrived today. I also followed the advice Blackwater gave. I put the gloves on and the slide came right off. I am also a senior citizen and don't have as much hand strength as I once had.

I'm in the same boat as you. My P365 is fine, but I can use them on my P320 and jar tops. Thanks Stroonz. ______________________ An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing. --Nicholas Murray Butler

I have small hands and got medium. They are on the small side in my opinion.

"Bellingham Blue"; a most appropriate name for around here in WA, since we have a city by that name not that far off from me. Definitely a color name that mirrors the current bleak mood that gun owners and enthusiasts are in given the firearms laws are about to get much worse. As for the sometimes janky takedown lever; with new P365s at the shop I've noticed that from time to time there will be a gun who's takedown lever plays ornery. Always winds up working, but definitely not kind to us with a tinge of arthritis in the finger joints. My own original config P365s' levers work nicely, but the Mongo's lever does do 'The Sticky' from the very first time I manipulated the darn thing. Probably just need to shoot the snot out of that one and its lever should loosen up...I guess. So technically, a break-in period of sorts, I suppose. -MG

Maxwayne I’m really happy the gloves worked for you. I’ve lost a lot of my hand strength also and I find them very useful for many things around the house. Thank goodness my wife can do some of the things i can’t. I always tease her about being Swedish and I tell her she’s built strong as a Volvo. I’m not making excuses, but I just turned 78 YO and I kind of expect things to be more difficult.

I am glad I got it apart, as it was very dry.
