WeshoweNew S & W 586 .357 Magnum
Gents,
Just picked up a pristine S & W 586 4" /357 Magnum. Have wanted one for years and finally stumbled upon this fine example of the revolver.
Her she is:
I'm really lucky to have found her...

VoshterkoffBeautiful, the 586 is one of the best looking revolvers in my opinion.

patwVery nice revolver. Congrats. The only downside to getting one of those, is that they are addicting.

iron chefWith original box and no Hillary hole!
Which dash version is it?

newtoSig765One of many pistols that came on the market after I'd spent too much money on guns, and couldn't justify getting more.
You have a fine gun there. As far as I'm concerned, it's everything the Model 19/66's should have been, but weren't.
I'm jealous!

cslingerI’ve said it before. I have no business loving revolvers. I was born and grew up firmly in the “wonder nine” era. but damn I like me a good wheel gun and that is a beautiful pick up.
Enjoy it in good health.
Take care, shoot safe.
Chris.

Would be a good idea to check and see if it went thru the factory recall.

sourdough44I bought one a number of years ago, used of course. I decided to skip the recall, the way I use it, not an issue.
Yes the recall is there, S&W told me they were still doing it.

Good point, if for range use only, not going to carry it in the woods or truck, or use for self defense. I checked mine, and it had been repaired and stamped. I think many were sent back.

Chuck PerryThe 4" L frame in 357 Magnum is the most versatile handgun, period. The variety of loads available in Special and Magnum, in bullet weights from under 100 grains to over 200, cover everything from plinking to bear defense.

CD228Beautiful example of a 585. Enjoy.

YooperSigsOn my wish list: 581 or 681. The fixed sight version. Then consider a conversion to round butt K frame and 3 inch barrel.
My last duty revolver was the 686.

2000Z-71Nice! I lucked out years ago and bought a 586 no dash on Gunbroker that no one was bidding on. Similar to yours but with the factory finger groove combat wood grips. Could probably sell the grips for more than I paid for the gun. Enjoy it, one of my favorite revolvers.
