I want to put a old W. German P228 slide on a P229-1 frame. I'm not sure what combination(s) of barrel and locking insert I should use. I have all of the following:

- P228 barrel
- P229 9mm barrel
- P229-1 9mm barrel
- P228/P229 locking insert
- P229-1 locking insert

Also, if I decide later to use a legacy frame, does that change anything?

Need the P228 locking insert (same as the old P229(9)) locking insert, and the P228/old P229(9) barrel.

No need for anything else. The same upper assembly above will work on it.
