Have a chance to get a 1995 P220 in 45acp. Just gun and 2 mags. Excellent condition. They have it listed at 700.00 Where they good guns ? Any known issues? Price sounds ok? Any sources of spare parts . I understand Sig no longer services older Sigs.

Great gun. Price a little high. SIG still service older SIGs.

Thank You. What would be considered a good deal on this OTD? Gun is about 98%+ and all original. Not messed with. Not a police return.

$550 would cause me to jump, depending on condition.

Where are you located (price can depend on location)?

$700 for the pistol in the shape you describe and and 2 OEM SIG mags isn't a bad deal, but it's not a great deal either. Mid $600s would be more fair in my opinion.

If it's a "W." German made and proofed gun, with everything included originally from factory, then $650 OTD would be good. $600 would be very good. If it's German made but US assembled, then some folks would value it less. 1995 is the transition year for the P220, when you have both "W." German made/proofed guns and German made/US assembled guns.

220 Sig in 45 is a great gun, reliable, smooth recoil easy to keep on target.

I agree with everything 12131 has said.

The other piece is like what Rhino said...location.

For me I already have multiple 220's so I'd be a buyer at around $550 but if it's your first one, depending on condition, a good price would be $600 - $650;and also depending on if it's a W German, German or US made.

For me, the mid 90's P-220's are the finest vintage. I own a few handguns, but my mid 90's P-220 is the one I carry the most.

While $700 sounds a little high, it depends on where you live. Even if you can buy one for less on-line, please consider the shipping charges and transfer fees.

Please let us know if you buy it and how you like it.

If I didn't own one, I would probably purchase if it's at 98+%. If I liked it, I would look for a second one with price in mind.

Bought it. Came out to 700.00 total. Examined the gun again. It is in excellent condition. No holster wear at all. Looks black . Might be coating they used back then. Seller included 4 magazines with the gun. Older 7 rounders. Cant wait to shoot it. Very happy.

Congratulations on your new Sig.

I hope your P-220 treats you as well as mine have treated me.

The gun should have a black appearance.

I am pretty sure it will be enjoyed. The P220 is wonderful and everyone should have several.

I bought a 220 from a member here. It was built in 1998 or so IIRC. It quickly became my favorite gun. I love it and shoot it better than even my 226 which I don't understand how that can be. I like it so much that I'm thinking of making it my off duty carry as well as on duty.

You did great, price will continue to go up over time, not like some guns but the value will rise.

I have a KF myself, it is my best P220, the other two are beavertails and while they're very good, they aren't the same.

There is something subtle in the way the German guns feel and run, they're a joy to own and shoot.

MikeSm great gun the 220 and with the 2 bonus mags imo a square deal based on 98+ condition. You will have no future regrets purchasing that classic German Sig.
