Full size 320 45 acp
I was looking for a .45 220 or HK and stumbled on a 'used' unfired full size 320 45acp 3 days ago
Came in original box & 2 10rd mags
I have yet to shoot it

Anyone have one?

That was a good find. I don't have one, but I would like one myself.

I had one after they first came out. It seemed softer shooting than my 1911's. Accuracy was very good as well. The 10 rd magazine was a plus but it just didn't "do it" for me.

Agree with above, I have one and its easily the softest recoiling .45 pistol I've owned.

I have one from when they first came out. Was even able to acquire a holster for it & the light.

It's my "nightstand" gun.

That pistol was responsible for making me love the .45 ACP round Smile

Had one back when they were first released but eventually let it go, but now regret it. Should have kept it, it was great!

I had 4 of the 14 round magazines made for the 227 (I think that was the model). They functioned ok... good enough for range use but not good enough for defensive use.

I’ve been carrying one everyday at work (gun range / shop) for the past 5 years. I’ve got about 2K rounds through it and like others have posted it’s a very smooth shooting gun. It’s one of my favorite .45’s to shoot and it’s extremely accurate.

Smooth shooting, very accurate and soft recoil, IMO.

I have one, and actually it is the only P320 that I really like. Very accurate for me as it fits me well.

Looks like they are still making the compact 9 rd. size.

I am looking for this as well. Unfortunately I think the only way to get it at this point is used. I've been waiting for one to pop up on Gunbroker for a while but I've only ever seen compacts and they usually go for new or better prices. There is one there now with a $1000 price on it though it does have the make offer option on it.

If someone wants to try this out on their full size P320 45, I'd be interested in seeing the results.

I am most with you gentlemen. Unfortunately, I think we're waiting for a run - and therefore an order from either a distributor or an institution.

Given the features of the XTen, I'm also wondering if we aren't simply waiting for SIG to do a .45ACP version of that pistol - with, I hope, a manual safety.

Paten, as an alternative ~ AB Prototype offers a service where they use a CNC machine to cut the P320's FCU to add a Manual Safety.

I've had my 9mm P320 cut by AB Prototype and installed the FCU in a Wilson Combat Compact Grip Module with Manual Safety. Comparing it to a factory P320 with a Manual Safety, none of the guys in my Sig P320 Armorer's Course could tell the difference.

For me the precision of CNC machine is the deciding factor. For others where the personal satisfaction of knowing they made the cuts using a Dremel, that might be more important.

This link takes you to AB Prototype's Sig page:
https://www.abprototype.com/services/gunsmithing/

AP Protype's prices related to P320 Manual Safety are:

$55 to CNC cut the FCU
$30 to install the Manual Safety with parts you supply.
$45 to CNC cut a plastic Grip Module
$55 to CNC cut an aluminum AGX Grip Module
$200 to CNC the FCU & Grip Module and install AP Prototype provided Module Safety parts.

A one-time FCU cut by AP Protype using a CNC machine vs. the jig Sig Mechanics sells, prices are about the same. The advantage of the jig is multiple FCU cuts at no additional cost.

For me, I am considering the jig not for FCU cuts but for Grip Module cuts. I have hand cut plastic Grip Modules with a Dremel and they all turned out fine. I expect using the jig will improve my results.

Yeah, I know about them and I may have posted a link to them here in the past. I still would like to see DIY results if people wanted to share.
