divilGray G17 factory magazines!?
I have observed a gray frame (unsure if cerakoted or actual dyed factory polymer) G17. I am tempted. Did Glock ever make gray G17 magazines?

RogueJSKGlock has offered factory Gray, OD Green, and FDE colored frames, but to my knowledge, they've only ever made OD and FDE factory magazines. I've never seen or heard of Gray factory magazines.
Even the Glocks with factory FDE/OD colored frames typically shipped with black magazines included anyway, with the 19X and its FDE magazines being the main (sole?) exception. All of the gray-framed factory Glocks shipped with black mags.
It's only been just recently that Glock started offering these color-matched FDE and OD magazines as separate purchases, and I don't think they even offer factory gray Glocks anyway, so it's not likely that they'd do a run of them. (Any of the recent Gen 5s you see in gray are going to be aftermarket Cerakote jobs, although sometimes done at the distributor level.)
But you can get aftermarket gray baseplates to match a gray Glock frame, and swap those in. With the magazine inserted, you won't see much except the baseplate anyway.

I have a gray frame 19. It is not cerakote, the polymer is gray. I've never seen a gray magazine. Since the rest of the parts of the gun are black, a black magazine baseplate looks right at home.

divilI am a color oriented buyer, I have learned to accept this about myself.
There are plenty of G17 variants to temp me so this subject (Gray G17 mags) was just a minor curiosity that is now resolved. Thanks

DaBigBRYes, there are factory gray molded magazines. They come with the current Lipsey's exclusive gray framed guns. These guns have a gray molded frame (not cerakote) and at least the Gen 5 models include gray magazine tubes and base plates.
I have a gray 17 Gen 5 MOS (bought last year) and a gray 19 Gen 5 (bought last week).
I have not seen the magazines listed separately.

parabellumGlock made orange training magazines at one time. I think you can still buy the orange floorplates. I have a couple of those.

jaybirdaccountantYes, you can still buy the orange Glock floorplates, but I haven't seen the orange magazines in quite a while.

I had these magazines in both 9 and 10mm. IIRC, I sold them here in Sig Forum.

There are two additional integral colors for their frames: Coyote (19X) and BFG (Battlefield Green). Glock usually reserves Gray and BFG as exclusives for a couple of different distributors each year, rotating who gets the privilege of selling them every few years.

mercedes560Yes Glock makes factory grey magazines, they seem to only come with the factory molded colored frames, the gen 5 guns at least. I got 3 with my 17.
The back straps and magazines matching the frame color is a pretty foolproof way to make sure that the gun is a factory colored frame and not a cerakote one.

Perhaps on the more recent ones, but traditionally, the older factory colored frame guns came with black magazines. Color-matched magazines are a pretty recent thing.
