Hi all I have a question about DAO trigger pull I'm picking up my 239 this week and was wondering before I look to change it to DA/SA can you do anything to lighten up the pull on a DAO . I had a 228 that was DAO but wound up trading it and getting a DA/SA before I really used it enough to see how it was . Just a thought . thanks

That's just the Flomax talking |
Besides cleaning up the surfaces of internal parts to reduce friction, you can try a lighter mainspring, however, be very careful not to go too light or you will get misfires.

I assume that it isn't a DAK, But instead the DAO with the hammer spur and the 10 pound trigger.

Yes it is the DAO with the spur hammer

I'd leave it alone. too many parts to change out in my opinion. Even though I prefer SA/DA there is nothing wrong with DAO.... it will do what it was designed for. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

I also picked up a 239 in DAO. I changed to DA/SA. It wasn’t hard to do and the cost wasn’t excessive by any means. It then became my EDC until I switched over to Glock. If you like the 239 which is a fine gun, I’d go that route rather than just reducing the DAO trigger pull.

Thanks for the info I'm going to pick it up this week and use it as is for now but I'm going to order the parts I need so I can change it if I decide to

During the panic of everyone trying to find seven round pistols following the passage of the SAFE Act, I ended up with a DAO P239. It's a pretty heavy and long DAO trigger pull, so I had Sig install a DA\SA trigger and smooth it out. IMNSH opinion, DAO is for revolvers. _____________________________ 'I'm pretty fly for a white guy'.
