Hi guys! Tried SEARCHING... Any alternates to SIG Romeo M17 red dot sight on the USGI M17 or M18 pistol? The mounting on this slide uses a single screw from the underside with no external screws whatsoever. The Romeo M17 simply bolts on and retains the iron sights which are co-witnessed. Wonderful sight but I can't find it for less than $700 (seven hundred dollars)! -- ChuckThis message has been edited. Last edited by: chuck s, "Never send a man where you can send a bullet."

| That rug really tied the room together. |
It’s the only thing I’m aware of . It was purposely built for that slide. Maybe one of the other cheap Chinese optics companies will build something eventually. ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

The military M17/M18 optic cut also has the DPP mounting holes. That’s what some SOF units use. That means it’s also compatible with the Romeo-X Pro.

DPP with the add on rear sight will cover the hole. But you will need a taller front sight. Dawson makes BUIS that work with the DPP. Romeo X Pro with the built in rear works fine with the regular front sight, but you will see the hole.

Thanks for the added information. The sight looks like it'll take additional work that doesn't seem worth my effort for a secondary carry pistol (said the fox when he couldn't reach the grapes. -- Chuck "Never send a man where you can send a bullet."
