VZ grips, the only color they had in stock. If yall know me or seen my guns you know I don’t care about color much. It’s not a pageant. Outside of that they feel good but I don’t know if I like em better than the square butt style. I’ll shoot em a bit. I know they’ll be better for concealment and I do plan on carrying this beast. Especially in WI when I move there and wear outer garments more often.
The fit is excellent where the finger grooves meet. The fit against the back strap could be a tiny bit better but still pretty good.
OP: I love 10mm. Carry it on the farm with a 320xten, shoot hogs and even deer hunted this year with a CMMG 10mm Banshee SBR.
Been wanting a 610 for a while and finally found one I liked for a decent price.

I saw the title and thought you meant you had the No. 2 .32 rimfire of 1861.

I thought about that, though not knowing if a No. 2 was a real model lol. I’ll change the title!

For a guy who had zero revolvers a few days ago, your collection is progressing quite nicely! You've made some good decisions. I love the unfluted cylinder on that 610, and seeing as you already shoot the 10mm it's a great logistical choice.

I missed out on the 610 decades ago when I was shooting 10mm. Gorgeous revolver with the unflutted cylinder, I just love that look, so very clean. Enjoy it.

Congratulations! I’ve got the 3” and 5” models. Great revolvers and being able to shoot both 10mm and 40 S&W is a nice feature as well.

Very cool. Gives new meaning to "cylinder."

What’s the trade-off between unfluted cylinder vs. fluted cylinder? Other than cosmetic.
Personal preference, but I prefer the fluted cylinder esthetic.
Don’t argue with fools.

It's mostly cosmetic. It does add some mass that can help a bit with recoil, but it's not really in the right place to make the cylinder significantly stronger.
Personally I think it looks beefy and badass on a big N-Frame. There's also a rugged simplicity to the smooth lines that appeals to me on a gun like that. There's not much of a downside, either, since that gun is a huge hunk of steel anyway so the small amount of weight added by an unfluted cylinder isn't likely to be noticed when carrying it.
Now on a svelte design like a Mountain Gun or a J-frame where the point is to be as trim and light as possible, I like a fluted cylinder both for practicality and aesthetics. It all comes down to the application.

I hate the ILS, but that is still a sick ass revolver!

That unfluted cylinder is what attracted me to the Colt Kodiak. Nice gun Otto.

Congratulations on a wonderful addition to the family
I also love the various ten millimeter cartridges, especially in the Smith & Wesson 310/610 family of revolvers.
My 6 1/2" is a favorite
I have lengthened the chambers in all of my revolvers so that they can chamber and fire the 10MM Magnum in addition to the 10MM Auto and 40S&W cartridges
