I use that very extension with my 225a1.

Either the P245/P220C or the P239 is a great choice for CCW, especially if you’re opposed to striker style platforms. The biggest concern I’d have about starting from scratch when picking up a P245 or P220C would be magazines. Make sure the pistol comes with a handful of them as they are obscenely expensive.
