Sig P230 vs P232 Factory Grip Interchangeability
I was always under the impression that the P230 and P232 factory black polymer grips were interchangeable (though you could not use the thick head P232 screws with P230 grips without them protruding). A search here provides no definitive answer, thought one post contains a picture of a 232 wearing 230 grips.

However, Wikipedia says they do not interchange, but offers no explanation.

Can anyone clarify if drop-in (no dremel or file required) interchangeability is one way, two way, or not at all?

They are interchangeable but some slight differences on the back of the grips for clearancing to the pistol itself might be needed. If I recall, I had to do light fitting moving back and forth to clear the changes.

Appreciate the response.

Were you putting a P230 grip on a P232 or a P232 grip on a P230?

By "light fitting moving back and forth", do you mean wiggling a grip panel around a main spring assembly or heel magazine release...or do you mean removing grip material using a tool?

Nill logo P232 grips on a P230 SL. Files and a Dremel to clearance the back of each side.

Got it...thanks.

I am particularly interested in the interchangeability of the factory black polymer grips, as I am not sure how closely Nills match them. (And Nills are outside my budget!)
