P220 SAO conversion? Login/Join

Hey I feel like this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find any topics on it. Also just searching the internet it seems to show multiple answers for what is possible.

I am thinking of picking up a police trade in p220 DAK. I'm curious if this would be capable of being swapped to SAO? I know it can be converted to DA/SA.

So is the conversion possible? If it depends, what do I need to look for? Also what parts would I need?

Appreciate the help.

Yes, this has been discussed before. Conversion is very unlikely. The trade-in gun would have to be already machined to accept the manual safety and finding those parts is problematic. Just buy a SAO P220.

If you take the grips off and see the mill work for the safety detent spring, you should be fine.

It will look like a rounded U that is roughly 3mm wide and 5mm tall. Don't have any pics handy.

The parts can be found, but not often.

Thanks, I don't really need an SAO. But wanted to know it of curiosity.

Just covert it to DA/SA, and shoot it in SA mode. Very simple solution.

Yeah DA/SA would be easier, but would of been cool just to have one in SAO, but not needed.
