And I guess now I can add the personally owned Gen 5 G45 with Holosun SCS MOS that I'll be carrying as my duty gun at my new side gig as a part time small town patrol officer.

TonydecVery first was a satin nickel Colt Combat Commander, .45ACP. Issue was a beat up old .38 special with a 6" barrel, can't remember if it was a Colt or S&W. Uh, no thanks, I'll carry my own. Was only there 9 months.
2nd PD (was there a tad over 30 years) issue was a S&W Model 10. No personal weapons allowed for a while. Went through many once personal weapons were allowed and retired carrying my Les Baer Thunder Ranch. Came full circle you can say.

navyshooterThe Navy still used the 1911 and continued to until IIRC 1995 when my squadron were issued the M11 (P228). Right before I retired in 2008 I started seeing M9's.

VaftocrA dept issued S&W .38. 2 years later they switched to the Glock .45.
My first personal purchase was a S&W 6906. Then I caught the bug. I rarely strayed from S&W and Sig until recent years. I don’t like S&W after the 3rd generation semi autos.I still love Sig but love HK as well.

It was a 1990 or 1991 pistol. I had a KB P226 and the issued one had a slightly lower s/n.
