For real? |
I bought specifically made pliers made to work on HK trigger return springs way back in the day when I was doing LEM conversions for people. I have not had to detail strip the frame of my VP9 yet. It does have thousands upon thousands of rounds through it with no issues. The slide did get detail stripped once way back right before Robar went out of business. They did the NP3 stuff to my slide. I tried the VP9SK, and it didn't do anything my VP9 didn't. I preferred the bigger size of the VP9. Not minority enough!

Thanks, good insight. I seem to recall that HK, other than recoil spring, doesn't really require parts replacements until about 20K rounds. I was confronted with the same dilemma 6 months ago. The logic above is solid. In the end I went with the old Iron Sights as I have no desire to shoot with OR and I know myself enough to know I will never sell a gun so the resale value means nothing. Even at 56 I still don’t want to shoot with OR. My accuracy may get worse as I age but it’s still just cathartic to plink. The VP 9 is a fantastic gun by the way. OR or not, you will love it.
