Had a 211GTO on order for awhile. Liked the looks/features of the new 226X legion. Sold my 229 to fund it.
Both arrived yesterday. So did the ice storm. So I was left with cleaning, lubing and fondling. 226 was bone dry but had been shot. Not a bad DA/SA trigger. Won't fit any previous 226/220 holsters. Manual was 50 pages of warnings (don't look down the barrel to check for a chambered round stuff) No real info on the gun, take down, assembly etc. Old manuals used to say SRT pistols should activate decocker while removing slide.
211 manual same thing. No specific pistol info. Had to watch a youtube to know that the little punch tool needs to be used for takedown.

Both cool pistols. Can't wait to shoot.

And the trend of online only manuals sucks too.

@ YooperSigs: My three-year-old P365 only came with a paper slip with a QR code on it, as did my gun cabinet's instructions for installing the shelves. You can also download a manual from the site. Ruger, meanwhile, although they can be downloaded from the site as well, sent me a paper manual (missing from the used gun) for the asking.

I noticed the same thing on my recent purchase Colt Gold Cup NM. Very little information on the gun, while 2/3 of the manual was warnings on things not to do. The world we live in now days. Frown

New Chevy EQEV manual is only available in the app, on your phone, tiny, hard to read, you have to be clairvoyant to figure out what term will let you search for something the way they digitize this stuff.

Everyone and everything is scan the qr code for the manual.

I get it though, printing and distribution is expensive to maintain, print, ship, store, inventory. A PDF is a single file on a cloud.

I bought a Benelli Montefeltro last year and there was no paper manual to be found, online only. These aren’t cheap. It’s bad enough that there’s no hard case, but the manual?

The manual for my LYRIQ EV is only valid until the next software update.

Gotta love the era of the Walther, Mauser and SIG Sauer cardboard boxed pistols with multi-lingual manuals, spare mag and test targets.

There seems to have been so much pride involved in every step from production to leaving the factory.

Does it have the Pass Time update, allows you to download Youtube, HBO, Netflix and several other video apps, only works when parked, so if you are sitting at a charging station getting filled up, you can pull up video and watch on the big screen.

Watched a basketball game in the parking lot while the wife shopped at Publix the other day.

It was dealer only for a while but now is an OTA update.
