I've been wanting one of these little puppies off and on for years now. Came very close to waaaaay overpaying for one on GB in the middle of Covid but I decided not to at the last second.

Now I really want one again and think I'm going to do it this time and alternate it with my Kahr CM9

Who here has one? I recall one or two of you did, do you still have it and carry it?

How is the recoil compared to .38? I've fired the .38 LCR many times and thought it wasn't too bad compared to the S&W 642 I had a long time ago.

I like that you get 6 rounds with this one.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

I haven’t seen much of 327 federal ammo that’s readily available? As I recall, it’s a stout impulse through the LCR. For close to the price that model LCR sells for, you could have a Kimber K6xs. Also a six shooter. Weighs 2ozs more. Same size footprint. Just something for your consideration.

I have some strange chamberings, so not really against new or rare stuff. I do have a few lighter weight 357 revolvers. I just normally only shoot 38 spcl ammo in them.

The 357/38 has almost endless ammo options. Most of the time one can mail order most any ammo.

For me, I easily lean 357 or even 38 spcl over the 327.

Have the LCR in 327, a SW 38-2 and SW 49. 327 mag (Speer gd) out of the LCR generally feels a little stouter than self defense 38+p out of the 49 and similar to 38+p out of the 38 (but still slightly more). The 49 is around 20oz, LCR about 17 and 14 for the airweight.

I've shot only Fed 85 gr 327 (hydrashoks) and Speer 100gr 327. They are very different, Speer is much stouter. BTW, 32 HR mag ( buffalo bore) out the LCR has less recoil than 38+p out the smiths.

I often pocket carry the LCR with Speer GD or the mod 38 with Standard pressure GD short barrel.

2nd edit, lol, the smiths have wood grips, so that factors in. I wouldn't attempt firing 327 out the LCR with wood grips.

Edit to add, also have the original 3 inch SP 101 in 327. That gun is perfect for 327 mag. I never figured out why Ruger discontinued that model.

Like Belwolf, I have and carry a .327 LCR. And, I love it. The Gold Dots are pretty stout; one cylinder is more than enough for me at the range.
There are numerous other options for carry ammo, which is a great feature of this caliber.
The sixth round is -IMHO - the best feature of a revolver in this size.
In terms of muzzle energy, size/conceal ability, and the flexibility of the caliber … the .327 LCR really shines.

I carry my LCR .327 more then any other gun I have. Maybe it is because I am at home most of the time. Put it on in the AM and take it off at bedtime.
When I do go someplace it is a toss up with the LCR and the 365/9mm.

Love my .32 revolvers, have a few of them. A couple are chambered in .327 but my favorite carry piece is a S&W 432PD in .32 H&R magnum. I really like that a 6th round can be fit into a small-framed revolver cylinder.

Great round with low recoil and adequate power. Not concerned about availability as I reload the .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R magnum, and the .327.

Had a .38 LCR, it was a good pistol, easy to shoot and carry, the only thing I didn't care for was the long reset,

IF you short finger the trigger looking for a shorter reset like on a semi auto and it won't fire, you'll have to let the trigger go out full to reset, its nothing wrong with the gun at all, but you just need to be sure you practice.

I found that my ingrained short reset mind did it enough that it concerned me as a defensive pistol with a different set of operation needs.

2 full size 327’s here. SP-101 4” and a 5” Single Seven. 3” SP-101 would compete the “family” for me.

Rather shoot those .32’s than just about anything I own.
