I picked this up recently. I'm a big fan of Wilson Combat and I'm really starting to appreciate more than just their traditional 1911's. These double stack pistols are very well built and they shoot exceptionally well. They are not 2011's, but kind of their own unique design. SFX stands for solid frame X-Grip, meaning this pistol doesn't use grip panels like the EDC Series. Other than that, they are the same.

Some pics. This example was built in 2022, but in mint condition and clearly never carried.

Anyone else an owner or a fan of these?

Here it is with my other Wilsons, which include a Vicker's Elite 9mm, ACP 45ACP, CQB Elite 45ACP, EDC X9L, and this SFX9.

Yes, I’ve been a fan of Wilson Combat for quite a while now, and have recently added an SFT9 to my CQB .45 and Compact CQB .45 (my usual edc). I look forward to hearing about your thoughts about your new SFX as you get an opportunity to wring it out at the range.

Truly beautiful guns. I only have the Colt Gov Model in 1911. I love it but those Wilson’s…. I yearn for one.

Very nice! I’m reaching a point where I have acquired just about all of the firearms I want and will actually use. This is one of the few remaining on my list. I think I want a gold bead front sight on mine though.

I found a very good deal on a EDC X9 and grabbed it right away. Now I am hooked on it. Would like to get it's bigger brother the X9L. Got rid of all my other 1911's, except the STI Trojan which I am saving just because they don't make them anymore.

Nice collection of Wilson's you've got going. I'm a fan. I grabbed an EDCX9 in 2018, somewhere around 2021 had Wilson cut it for a Trijicon RMR and have carried it at least 4-5 days a week since.
