I picked up a CZ-75BD many years ago when I was in Germany, and brought it back. I really haven’t used it much because decocker has made it difficult to rack the slide. Finally found a NIB Kadet kit and started to use the frame a few days ago. But, the decock lever is still messing up my pretty fingers when I try to rack it. I checked Mr. Gore’s Google, and there are lots of comments about converting safety version to decocker, but not the other way around. What say the cognoscenti on SigForum, can it be done with a parts switch or would there have to be drilling and machining? I looked on CZ Custom’s site but can’t do much there because their site is obgefucht with both Safari and Brave on my iPlug. Edited to add: back when the Rhein-Neckar Zentrum in Mannheim had a gun store, I had some LPA sites installed on it so it looks great, and shoots great but is a real pain in the hand to manipulate the slide.

Sorry George, only the CZ-75 Omega series can be converted between safety and decocker.

Kadets are just hard to rack period. That tiny moving slide is hard to grip. For me, the sights are the skin raker.

Thanks Gents, I was afraid of that (but, know nothing about the Omegas) - and I think it was the LPA site that tore up my right index finger. The good news is the whole situation prompted me to finally look up CZ Custom. They have CZ75 SA frames available separately & one is in my immediate future since they are in stock. Also just placed an order with Greg Cote for CZ 9mm mags given the recent news & possible new restrictions.
