Since I have read in the forum that the slide is virtually the same, I am guessing those are compatible but what about springs in the frame?

thanks and God bless,

The P220 uses the non-coiled TBS. The P227 uses the coiled one (like in the P226).

The P220 uses the old mag catch/release system. The P227 uses the newer style one that does not have the support plate on the other side..

Thanks 12131. Forgive me, but I am still not clear. I understand that the 227 uses the coil style spring, but I assume that the spring from a 220 is compatible? Same dimensions and weight?

Also, does the newer mag catch system use the same old spring?

Thanks again
