Isn't this supposed to be a "Match" pistol? I got to play with one today at the LGS/range, after some shooting of my SIG. Although the ergo is great, I was shocked how bad the trigger was. Very gritty would be an understatement, and not crisp at all. Nowhere close to the outstanding trigger of the original PPQ. Yeah, that's right. Did I just handle a bad example? Or, are they all like that?

I shot one at a range day in PA in September and was very impressed. I then bought a used one off of GB as an Xmas present to myself. Trigger was godawful, especially considering the $$ of them. I also found that the grip was too short for my hand. Fortunately I was able to sell it for about what I had in it. I really wanted to like it, but it was “meh” at best.

I held one with steel frame and it was very heavy and the grip was awkward. Trigger was somewhat gritty for the gun in this price range. I have had three Walthers: PPQ M1, PPQ Match and PPS M1, and each one had its reliability issues. The PPQ M1 had a great trigger for a few years-until it went full-auto on me. I sent it to SW for repair and quickly got rid of it with the firm pledge to never buy Walther pistols again. I was curious about the steel framed pistol but having handled one (no shooting), it is a solid pass.
