Found this one a local shop, I had been looking for one for two years since I sold the last one I had. Big mistake on my part. Very happy to find one. Great trigger in both DA/SA. Any M9 fans here?

I’ve got an M9A3 that I’m found of, actually I’m fond of any of them with the Vertec grip, it just works much better for me. I don’t get to see the M9 much anymore as my step son claimed it and PX4 compact carry. At least he still lets me shoot them lol

And it's an Italian made Beretta, too. Very nice.

Oaklane, yes I like the Vertec grip much better than the 92FS grip shape. Just fits my hand better thus I shoot it better.

Yeah that's a plus in my book. Though there is supposed to be no difference. I've seen some bad looking machine work on some of the TN Berettas. Hopefully they have it under control by now.

It was pretty sad what they were turning out in Tn. with the barrel issues.

Heck yeah. I bought one when they first came out. A week later I was in a large retail shop in Lexington and a recently discharged vet was trying to sell one. His wife "wouldn't let him have" a gun, and he'd just bought it and hadn't even loaded the mags yet. The shop offered him 400 for the retail 999 gun. He wisely walked. I caught him in the parking lot and offered him cash much closer to what he had paid, and he was happy.

I've seen some of those recent-TN-production Berettas w/ bad machine work at stores. I don't trust Berettas that come from the Gallatin factory sight unseen. In other words, I wouldn't order one online. I might buy one after inspecting it closely in person.

I bought an M9A3 earlier this month, which means I too have joined the owners club. The '50 shades of FDE' is comical but has kind of grown on me. Mine was also made in Italy.

I’d take an Italian Beretta for the same reason that I’d take an Austrian Glock or a U.S. 1911. But I was always under the impression that MD production was of equal quality. I’ve heard rumblings about TN production though.

Vertec Berettas are the bomb. Great handling and shooting. I have a TN made Beretta that has machining marks/swirls on the slide. It is a great shooter w/ no problems.

I’m a fan as well. Added the multi-shade FDE M9A3 last year, and found it the most enjoyable Beretta to shoot over my 92FS and any M9 I was issued. There are quieter suppressor hosts out there, but it is “nail gun” quiet and a treat to shoot!

I'll be the odd man out and say I prefer the original Beretta grip profile. Fits my hand better and just feels more natural to me.
My A3 is in basic black as I just couldn't make myself like the fde rainbow. Wears a set of the factory G10 conversion grips that mimic the old Beretta grip profile. Put in the G decocker kit too.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

I became a Beretta fanatic beginning in 8th grade when I started reading the Mac Bolan series then it was later re-affirmed when I watched Lethal Weapon.

After years of trying to beat the civil service BS up north and gain entry into LE, I relocated to Virginia and was awarded with an almost brand new Beretta 92SF at my first agency. Then later at another agency then the military.

I have always wanted an A3 but after reading the reviews here on Sigforum and seeing some in person, my bubble was slightly crushed.

I really like that two tone FDE color.

^^^This is the way. I too prefer the black, but the FDE is what I found a deal on.

I would also suggest adding an LTT trigger bar or his TJIAB kit.

I really don't think I am going to change anything to the action. My DA pull weight is 7 lbs 10 ounces and the SA is 3 lbs. 14 ounces. I am satisfied with those numbers. If I do anything I might change the hammer spring to something a little lighter. I did in fact order the decocker kit for it.

I, as well, prefer the regular Beretta grip contour over the Vertec. This make no damn sense either as I have fairly small hands with fairly short fingers. It’s weird but I far prefer the “big Beretta” grip.

All that said, that’s a helluva nice Beretta pickup. Enjoy it, may you only ever fire it in peace and shoot it in good health.

Take care, shoot safe.

Thanks guys I was very excited to find one close by. For you guys who prefer the old grips shape the M9A3 and the A4 provide a conversion grip (Hogue) that you can switch out and give you the feel you like. On my previous one I shot it both ways and shot better with the Vertec straight grips. But not everyone does, good to have a choice.

I bought an M9A3 Black a few years ago. It's HUGE, but I absolutely love it. It's crazy accurate and so soft shooting. I did add the Wilson Combat recoil spring guide rod and flat wire recoil spring. Aside from that, it's stock. The Beretta sand-resistant mags that come with it are impeccable.

If you really want to feel an improvement that's very cheap, buy one of the lighter hammer springs. A 14# will make a big difference that will still pop any primer you could find (except some of the rusted out Russian crap).
