Anyone have a P320 XCompact RXP?

I have a P365XL and P320 AXG Pro.

I'm interested in something in-between. I've tried the P320 Carry and it's still a little too big to conceal every day.

Try this, P320 X-Compact vs. P365 XL.

And the P320 X-Compact RXP will add a little more bulk than that.

I purchased one in August of last year. It is much more controllable for me since I can get a full purchase on the grip. I love mine, but it is my fall and winter carry in a Crossbreed IWB. It disappears in a dress shirt and jeans.

As a functioning firearms it will be the Sig quality you expect. I ahve had no issues but I only have about 1800 rounds through it. I have not found any ammo it doesn’t like, but I haven’t fired any of the cheap Russian steel case stuff through it.

It should work fine for your carry needs, but it may be a bit large for a t-shirt and shorts set up during the summer.

I think I've got close to what you are asking about.... I have a P320 Compact with the Romeo sight on it and a Gray Guns flat trigger. it is the second most accurate pistol I own, the other one, a FNH striker fired with safety, is quite the hole driller with iron sights.... but I don't like that extra floppy thing on the side where the red dot has to show and on top of that just like another popular brand of pistol... it is a pure tee pain to break down.

Sorry, I digress... the My P320 compact with the red dot is quite the trick in competition and such. The only potential problem I've had is it just barely passed the trigger weight pretest for a class I took this past December....on a very cold morning it was dead on at 4lbs. Not sure if it would have been more or less if the temperature had been higher.

I do, but I have not carried it. Shoots like a dream, though.

Unless I’m misunderstanding something, if the Carry is too bulky to conceal well, you won’t find much improvement by going to the XCompact. The grip difference is about the thickness of the magazine floor plate, and the barrel difference is about 0.3" (~3.6 v. ~3.9 inch).

Exactly.

Since you're wanting something with an optic that's noticeably smaller than the P320 Carry for concealment, just put a Romeo Zero on your existing P365XL.

Which direction is too big?

I'm in a plainclothes assignment where I pretty much wear a department polo shirt, 5.11 pants, hiking boots with a casual vest as a cover garment everyday to work. I wear a gun at the 3 o'clock in an OWB holster with a badge clipped in front and spare mag at 9 o'clock.

I'm currently carrying a Glock 17 and it seems a tad too big. My P365XL just feels a little too small to carry as a primary gun (even though it could probably get the job done).

The Carry's longer grip pushes against vehicle seat and office chair when sitting. I think that was my main complaint with it.

I think what I'm looking for a Glock 19 sized P320 with an optic.

Sounds like the very same path I went down a few years ago.

I'm in a similar uniform. And like you, my issued Glock 17 was too large, so I decided to carry a smaller person weapon.

Currently, I carry my P365X (P365 slide on P365XL grip) on duty most days. Before that, I had carried my P320 Compact with XCompact grip for a period.

And what I found is that there really isn't any significant difference in capabilities between the the lighter and smaller P365X/XL and the bulkier P320 Compact/XCompact.

So good news! You can save the time, cut out the middleman (middlegun?), and just jump right to the P365XL. Big Grin

If the XCompact grip module is still too big, you could always look for the Subcompact grip module. Takes a 12 round magazine. You could just replace the grip on the Carry and the slide assembly should still work on the Subcompact grip. It may be "discontinued" at Sig but they still have the magazines available on their site. You would have to find the grip module somewhere on the web though. There are a couple listings for the grip on Gunbroker at least.

I converted my full size 320RX upper onto a Compact frame and am very pleased with it. Larger top end works fine for me along with the shorter grip area. Larger than my 365XL w/Romeo for sure but not a problem.
